Residential • Perithalmanna, Kerala • 2025
A courtyard farmhouse in Perithalmanna, Kerala that draws from centuries of South Indian domestic architecture — reimagined for the way life is lived today. Hand-laid brick jaali screens filter the Kerala light into shifting patterns across terrazzo floors. A central water court, fed by lily ponds and framed by lush tropical planting, holds the home together. Terracotta roof tiles, teak joinery, and white lime-washed walls ground this house firmly in its landscape — and unmistakably in its time.

We started Design Intend in Hosur in 2014 — not with a grand vision statement, but with a single question: what does this family actually need? That question has guided every project since. Whether it is a home in Hosur, a villa in Krishnagiri, or a commercial space in Bengaluru, the answer always begins with the people — not the blueprint.
Every project starts the same way: we visit the site, understand the light, the airflow, the neighbourhood — and then we design something that could only exist in that one place. No two projects look the same. That is the point.
Graduated from Adhiyaman College of Engineering, Hosur (2007). Early career at Suresh Goel Associates, New Delhi — IIT, IISc, BITS Pilani, Jindal City. Joined Gensler Bengaluru (2011) as Associate Architect, leading interiors for Chase Bank, Starbucks, and GMFI. Founded Design Intend in 2014 with the conviction that world-class design belongs in Hosur too.
